Another wonder of creation

My awol terrapin is back!

I had discovered that one of my two shell-pets was missing a while ago when the stench of their keep-area became unbearable. At first I had thought, wow - the water in the bowl is so dirty I can't even find my turtles. But after emptying the bowl and scouring the area, I concluded I was a terrapin short for good.

But it has turned up again, amazingly having survived 1.5mths of no water and food (dust?), on the steps just beyond the patio albeit a mite smaller than its contemporary. Daddy decided it must have been hiding in the shady area underneath the cabinet in the corner.

Are they like camels, these creatures? Whatever the case may be, they have earned my respect and wonderment.
